R21 movie.
ohright baby, went to watch transamerica today.
It tells about a transexual trying to fit into the society, establish her identity and make people accept who he really is.
ok i'm really getting mixed up with the he/she thing. Basically, it's a he trying to turn into a she.
Is possible the other way around?
Anyway, the show had an alright plot, tells about the mindset and stigma that people still habour about transexuals. And how transexuals cope with such form of discrimination. They are regarded as deviants, and it's going against the Mores of the society. Even in America.
As for the R21 title, well, they showed a few butts.
ok, here's one thing I realised. Both brokeback mountain AND transamerica had something to do with COWBOYS from texas.
In transamerica, protagonist was from texas, Dallas. GOODNESS. There were some scenes filmed there. BArren LAnd. During the movie, I was just trying to mouth the words, their slang and all. COs i'll be going there for exchange, so I gathered it'll be useful to learn their slang.. so that i'll be understood.
As for brokeback mountain, one of the guy was aTexan too. ( i haven't watched the show tho)
I know this probably sounds really illogical, but yea. I'm going there for exchange and I'm starting to get a preconceived perception of what Texans and how TExas is gonna be like.
And boy. Am I worried.
