Fantasia Peach: Made up of Gelato liquored ice-cream and coated with white chocolate. With a chocolaty melt at the centre.
Yea right. DO NOT BE DECEIVED by the pictures and description on the menu. I was at nus Genki Sushi today, and I succumbed to the temptation of the mouth-watering looking desserts. I ordered the fantasia peach, when served, it was really pretty I must say. And yes, I must commend on the way the dessert was fashioned. In fact, it was so pretty, I almost couldn't bear to eat it. And I shouldn't have.
Well. It looks good, but it tasted like well.. ANTIBIOTICS. trust me. I had phobia of liquid antibotics since I was a kid.(u know the pink liquid, is it bactrim or ampicillin?) My mum used to try to trick me into taking the medicine by mixing it with chocolate milk. BUT I'm not as stupid as she thinks, once the milk tasted not right, I know it and will just vomit everything out. And so, since all the coaxing and tricking doesn't work, it's usually down to brute force. My dad would hold me down, and press my nose, while my mummy drown the antibiotics down my throat. I would be squealing away (like a pig knows when it is gonna be slaughtered). And oh boy, trust me, the smell and taste of the antibiotics, I hate it and would never forget it. Thank goodness, now I swallow pills for antibiotics, no more liquid stuff.
Anyway, yes, LOOKS ARE DECEIVING. warning from me, try "fantasia peach" at your own risk. It really tasted like antibiotics. ooohhh.. yuck.
