Sometimes, I feel like an ugly duckling. An ugly duckling that was flocking with the swans all along. As hard as I try, I just can't seem to turn into a swan. And sometimes, when I try too hard to be a swan, it isn't me anymore. I guess, I have to accept that I'm an ugly duckling and stop flocking with the swans. Maybe, I'll be happier off as an ugly duckling and flocking with the ugly ducklings. Instead of being the ugly duckling among the swans, I shall be the prettiest ugly duckling among the ugly ducklings. (ok i know it's getting confusing)
I feel that ugly ducklings may not be as graceful or beautiful or as looked upon as the swans, but ugly ducklings can be cute too and they can be nice. Just that most of the times, others don't see that when they are too preoccupied with superficial stuff. Unfortunately for the ugly ducklings, most people still prefer swans to ugly ducklings.
Life is as such.
All ugly ducklings still yearn to be swans one day, but I know for myself, I have been and will remain as an ugly duckling.
