arh yes, so today marks the start of the second half of the term. I went swimming at the school's swimming pool and swam 40 lengths! woo la la right... heh i am proud of myself! haha, After which I went for an interview for this overseas community service project to India. Well, it went pretty well I thought, hmm.. maybe not, cos when I asked the judges in the chirpest voice ever,"So do I get to go????!!" (excitedly, with eyes lighted up) they just looked and laughed and said, "we'll inform u a couple of weeks from now." Well, it's the usual I guess.
I thought about what I wanted out of uni life, and decided that I gotta be more pro-active and make an effort to make my life in uni enriching. So yes, I have taken the first step and gone for the overseas com service project interview. *a pat on my shoulder* I hope I meet a lot of nice and friendly people and forge new friendships in the process of this meaningful overseas India water plant project.
hmmm, I am supposed to be at a hair saloon now getting a haircut. BUT I have a terrible phobia of hair saloons, thanks ti all the traumatic hair cutting experience I had. Yes, somehow, I will always be skeptical of the ability of the hair dresser(whether it's reds jean yip or supercuts or some neighbourhood unheard saloons, I dun care, they're the same), because most of them usually PRETEND to know which hair style suits you most, and you happily let them toy with ur hair.(or rather most of times u are just at the mercy of them la). As it turns out, the end product is usually DISASTEROUS. yes. Either they'll give me this mushroom haircut that makes me look like a complete idiot or they'll give me this super short hair cut that makes me look like a boy boy, so much so that i think if i stepped into the girls toilet, ppl will scream! Right, ok fine i am dramatising the scenerio a bit, but you get the gist.
